How tf it all started?

One night around 10:30 PM, I went to the only shop in HSR that's open till midnight to grab some snacks. A random person struck up a conversation with me, and it turned out he was a performance marketer at an agency. We ended up talking about Meta, Google Ads, content, and more, losing track of time until it was 12:30 AM.

From that day, we started meeting often. Whenever either of us was free, we’d text and go for long walks in HSR, sharing ideas, challenges, and solutions. Even today, we help each other out whenever we face work challenges or need to discuss ideas.

I thought what if we could replicate and design similar friendly connections in our neighborhood through a Local Area Network.

Networking shouldn’t feel like a burden. It should be led with flexibility, deeper connections, proximity, and the comfort of informal settings. With LAN, we aim to create chances for people to meet and build genuine connections.

Imagine this: one day, we decide to drive to Rasta Café on the Mysore-Bangalore Highway or Kapoor’s Chaat on Sarjapur road. We talk, share work challenges, and build bonds that feel homely. Or maybe we meet at someone’s house or Chaayos on 14th Main for 2-3 hours to explore common points. Even a simple chai poll saying “Who’s up for chai at High Street in Sector-6?” could spark a meaningful conversation between two members, even if the LAN admins ain't there.enuine connections.

The goal is simple: make learning and connecting fun while offering career help, emotional support, and a reliable local system. There’s no “founder” of LAN—I’m just the first member. This is your community, and together, we shape it.
Core Idea
1
Local and Offline

Our core focus will always be on offline meetups. Online connections ain't useless. But the value of offline connections could be much higher.

2
Value Exchange

A person with a mindset of only value extraction isn't for LAN. Sooner or Later, we'd all know who's in here for the long term.

3
Formal Casual

Too serious is boring + building connections can not happen only with the work talks.

LAN Group Guidelines
1
Be Respectful

E.g., if debates get heated, step away. We all are here to support each other.

2
No Promotions

If you think it adds value t members, DM the admin.

3

4
Freelancing/collab Requests:

5
For Niche Discussions

Some niche discussions can be irrelevant to others. Move it to personal chat. Let's keep the group chat clean.
